Player ratings: Fulham v Manchester City

Hart – A bizarre crossfield free-kick in the first half suggested Joe’s mind wasn’t fully on the job. In contrast to others he had a better second period with a couple of excellent saves. No chance with either goal. 7

Richards – Not able to get tight enough on Zamora for Fulham’s opener, but pulled off a superb last ditch tackle on Dembele. 7

Kompany – Left Zamora to Richards for the opener, which backfired, and was then unlucky to be the victim of a deflection for Fulham’s equaliser. 6

Lescott – A steady game against his kind of opponent in Zamora. 6

Clichy – Good to see him back, and even come close to scoring with one long range shot. Crossing let him down in the final stages when we were looking for a winner. 7

Y Toure – Completed a whopping 99 passes and it seems reasonable to assume most of those were in the first half. When Fulham upped the tempo after the break, Yaya was unable to respond. 6

Barry – As with Yaya, didn’t have the legs for the second half after playing in midweek. 6

Silva (Zabaleta 69 mins) – Another assist for Aguero’s opener and once again the key to our midfield creativity. David’s substitution was the big debating point. 7

Nasri (Johnson 81 mins) – Some more nice touches without ever taking the game away from opponents. Needs to show more. 6

Aguero (Tevez 82 mins) – Maybe should have started on the bench to keep him fresh, but you can’t argue with the finishing and timing of his runs. Too clever for Fulham. 7

Dzeko – Less explosive than in previous games. The collapse and appeal for a foul prior to the equaliser was reminiscent of last season. 6

Subs:

Zabaleta – Rightly brought on to steady the midfield. Passing was poor when he crossed the halfway line. 6

Johnson – In hindsight Mancini may have started Adam ahead of Nasri. Set up Tevez for one late chance. 6

Tevez – May not be at his best but still ought to have started and should definitely have been brought on sooner. His dropping deep and augmenting the midfield was badly needed in the second half. 6

Man of the match: The sharpest thing about City was the finishing of Sergio Aguero.
