Another well written article. I sometimes think I've watched a different game when I read some of the press; this is objective. I fear City have got themselves into a slump at just the wrong stage of the season. From premature babies and terrorist attacks, to incompetant refs/FA and a relentlessly negative press, it's hardly surprising we've struggled. Mancunians are at their best in adversity, so the fans will get behind the team - I just hope the owners are equally resiliant.

yes, no blame for mancini; that can go to the players who missed chances and to the ref for his over-reaction to adebayor (we should try to get that rescinded). we were never going to win after that; stoke close space down too well. it's doing my head in that for all our wealth and players bought we have only been able to match stoke over four games; that's how much work is to be done. i dont expect us to finish fourth given our run-in but i do expect us to show some pride and have a real go at it. but i think we'll look back and say that tevez' extended absence will have been a crucial factor on two fronts.
